Events 1 May 2022: what to do and where to go in Emilia Romagna – What to do

Bologna, 30 April 2022 – Great excitement in Emilia-Romagna for the arrival of May 1st, which coincides with Sunday free admission to state museums (here the list). In addition to the celebrations organized by Cgil, Cisl and Uilthroughout the territory will be celebrated with music, food, cultural reviews and shows. Here is our guide, forecast permitting.

Bologna

Not only big concert in Piazza Maggiore (which returns after two years of forced absence): the weekend appointments are many and for all tastes: here our selection.

Reggio Emilia: Concert by Motta

After the procession organized by Cgil, Cisl and Uil which will start at 15 from viale Montegrappaat 17 there will be the concert of the famous singer Motta. The appointment is in Piazza Martiri on 7 July and admission is free.

Ravenna: markets and food to taste

The provincial party for May 1st in Ravenna returns, after two years of pandemic, to the gardens of viale Santi Baldini. Ferrara: two days of sport

In Piazza Ariostea two days dedicated to sport, inclusion and solidarity. From today the third edition of Sport Is Life / Live – remembering Fabio Falchetti with many demonstrations and sports activities to try together with the disabled and able-bodied, and on Sunday the return of the street skating with the 63rd edition of the Trophy May 1st Ferrara Inline.

Cesena: parade of tractors

Even in Cesena, after two years of hiatus, a deeply felt tradition of the citizens will return: the parade of tractors in the center, to celebrate the Workers’ Day and the agricultural world. Starting at 2 pm, three groups will start from Gattolino, Ronta and Sant’Andrea in Bagnolo. From the three meeting points the agricultural vehicles will converge towards Viale Mazzoni, in the heart of Cesena, where the tractors will be parked up to the Piazza del Popolo, framing the Rocca Malatestiana.

Forlì: rock concerts

After the ‘Città di Forlì’ Band and the traditional meeting of the General Secretaries of Cgil, Cisl and Uil, at 16 la Teen Rock Band si esibirà in un concerto, per poi lasciare spazio ai Reflection2.0, Mayday, Megal, Afterglow, B-Side, Air B&B, The Crockss, Burning Eyes, Same Street, Take Five, What Time Is It, Overtime, Kairos, Viraha, Drama, Astray.

Piacenza: art, theater, exhibitions, concerts and street markets

In Piacenza the celebrations of May 1st will start from today, April 30th, with concerts and performances: Today at 6.30 pm at the Ricci Oddi Modern Art Gallery with the concert Young Musicians, to music by G. Fauré. Inside the Classical Piacenza Festival, in the Ducal Chapel of Palazzo Farnese, the concert will be held tonight Bach, Variations and Symphonies. And again tonight, in the Church of San Raimondo, music by Bach and Vivaldi for the concert Truly the Lord has risenedited by Vox Sllvae Ensemble. Rimini: Jazz, walks, shows and entertainment

In Rimini the weekend of May 1st is full of events and reviews. from Saturday 30, at Parco XXV Aprile, the Marecchia Dream Fest, a real musical marathon. On this occasion also the Parco degli Artisti in Vergiano di Rimini reopens to the public with a free concert in which local musical groups perform.
