Bologna, 30 April 2022 – Great excitement in Emilia-Romagna for the arrival of May 1st, which coincides with Sunday free admission to state museums (here the list). In addition to the celebrations organized by Cgil, Cisl and Uilthroughout the territory will be celebrated with music, food, cultural reviews and shows. Here is our guide, forecast permitting.

Bologna
Not only big concert in Piazza Maggiore (which returns after two years of forced absence): the weekend appointments are many and for all tastes: here our selection.
Reggio Emilia: Concert by Motta
After the procession organized by Cgil, Cisl and Uil which will start at 15 from viale Montegrappaat 17 there will be the concert of the famous singer Motta. The appointment is in Piazza Martiri on 7 July and admission is free.
Ravenna: markets and food to taste
The provincial party for May 1st in Ravenna returns, after two years of pandemic, to the gardens of viale Santi Baldini. In the morning the reuse marketwhile at lunch it will be possible to eat in the many stands set up by the trade unions or as part of the Truck’n’food Street Festival. From 3 pm there will also be a children’s area, while at 4.45 pm there will be concerto of the workers group of Pomigliano d’Arco, the “E ‘Zèzi”.
Ferrara: two days of sport
In Piazza Ariostea two days dedicated to sport, inclusion and solidarity. From today the third edition of Sport Is Life / Live – remembering Fabio Falchetti with many demonstrations and sports activities to try together with the disabled and able-bodied, and on Sunday the return of the street skating with the 63rd edition of the Trophy May 1st Ferrara Inline.
Cesena: parade of tractors
Even in Cesena, after two years of hiatus, a deeply felt tradition of the citizens will return: the parade of tractors in the center, to celebrate the Workers’ Day and the agricultural world. Starting at 2 pm, three groups will start from Gattolino, Ronta and Sant’Andrea in Bagnolo. From the three meeting points the agricultural vehicles will converge towards Viale Mazzoni, in the heart of Cesena, where the tractors will be parked up to the Piazza del Popolo, framing the Rocca Malatestiana.
Forlì: rock concerts
After the ‘Città di Forlì’ Band and the traditional meeting of the General Secretaries of Cgil, Cisl and Uil, at 16 la Teen Rock Band si esibirà in un concerto, per poi lasciare spazio ai Reflection2.0, Mayday, Megal, Afterglow, B-Side, Air B&B, The Crockss, Burning Eyes, Same Street, Take Five, What Time Is It, Overtime, Kairos, Viraha, Drama, Astray.
Piacenza: art, theater, exhibitions, concerts and street markets
In Piacenza the celebrations of May 1st will start from today, April 30th, with concerts and performances: Today at 6.30 pm at the Ricci Oddi Modern Art Gallery with the concert Young Musicians, to music by G. Fauré. Inside the Classical Piacenza Festival, in the Ducal Chapel of Palazzo Farnese, the concert will be held tonight Bach, Variations and Symphonies. And again tonight, in the Church of San Raimondo, music by Bach and Vivaldi for the concert Truly the Lord has risenedited by Vox Sllvae Ensemble. The review BAF, Bibiena Art FestivalSunday at 17.30 in the Basilica of San Savino will bring Jesus San Pedro Marquez in concert per organ.
On Sunday of May 1st there will then be street market in via Roma, the reuse market with hobbies, gifts and much more. In the afternoon, however, the fifth edition of the Solidarity walkway in support of the activities of the Diocesan Caritas.
Modena: music and theater
In Modena the party will start as early as 10 con Music in the streets, the performance of the Wind Band of the Sigonio Musical High School from piazza Roma to piazza Grande. Also in Piazza Grande, starting at 10.45 the celebrations will begin, to then give space, around 11.15, to the show “One thousand and one notes. The true story of Emilia Romagna “ by the authors Brunetto Salvarani, Odoardo Semellini, Carlo Stanzani. In the show three characters, Emilia Romagna, Magalasso and Pescegatto, accompany the audience to discover the musical history of some regional artists, starting with Giuseppe Verdi and passing through pieces by Francesco Guccini, Zucchero and many others, ending with the Modena City Ramblers. The closing of the celebrations is scheduled for 12.30.
Rimini: Jazz, walks, shows and entertainment
In Rimini the weekend of May 1st is full of events and reviews. from Saturday 30, at Parco XXV Aprile, the Marecchia Dream Fest, a real musical marathon. On this occasion also the Parco degli Artisti in Vergiano di Rimini reopens to the public with a free concert in which local musical groups perform.
Guided tours of the historic center and museums also continue, from Fellini Museum, the Part Contemporary Art Palaces, the Surgeon’s House and the Galli Theater. The City Tours of VisitRimini scheduled for Saturday 30 April Rimini Curiosa, a walk dedicated to adults and children.
On Saturday 30 April the street show ‘Come crepe nel muri’ will be staged at 5pm, the result of a long creative journey by Teatro Due Mondi in collaboration with Senza Confini, community participated theater laboratory, at Ceis in Rimini. At 21, however, the Rimini Jazz Club proposes an appointment in the company of the musicians Marco Bovi and Emiliano Pintori, accompanied by Eloisa Atti, singer and songwriter.
Parma: rock concert at Basilica Nova
In Parma and throughout the province there will be demonstrations and rallies organized by the trade unions. In Basilicanova, starting at 3 pm, there will also be a concerto rock with bands Continuous Erection, Hard DOC, Redrum 04, I Ragazzi del Tugurio, Nothing Good For and, from 18.30, But we don’t.
