She is one of the youngest singers in Latvian music circles. Plus, strong enough to hold on to the biggest home music greats. In the real name of Patricia Ksenia Cupriyanovich. Three years ago, he became the first musician from Latvia to sign an agreement with one of the world’s largest music publishers, Universal Music Group. She is undeniably one of the most sought after young musicians in Latvia.
How are you doing now?
Finally, after a long winter, I have a muse. I write a lot of sketches of songs so that I can work on my plans and intentions in music. I spent time working on a new single and the music video we expected in early May. There are many ideas. At the same time, it is very important for me to paint from time to time. And quite often lately get together with the family to go to other countries, to enjoy other countries’ culture, architecture, art. My sister and I love going to museums together. Hannu and I are very interested in art and history.
Are you playing music now, getting ready for something big?
I am waiting for summer and concert time. I have had the pleasure of participating in the children’s song album “Kukuragi” created by the children’s pop studio within the framework of one song. A song was sung for this album together with two wonderful studio girls Alice and Laura. This was my first experience participating in a children’s album. It was very lovely! Music and songs are also important for children, so it seemed very interesting to be a part of something like that.
Where and how does your daily life go?
Studying, painting, writing songs, singing, spending time with relatives, friends, sister. Every day is completely different because there is no routine. Subordinate to daily work plans or vice versa. There are more running days, and there are days that I actually spend at home doing work.
What are you grateful for?
For peace in the country where I live. For the abnormally cool and good people you have come to know. I have always been grateful for everything. For every teaching that life provides, for every opportunity that is given.
Without whom you can’t imagine your life?
Without your dog. I know this may sound strange, but for me, the dog is a very important part of life, as a living being who feels, sees and hears. It is the greatest love, joy, happiness, gratitude, being next to one fluffy creature. Nellie is a miraculous dog! Of course, I can’t spend my daily life without music!
How did you feel during the pandemic?
It was difficult to survive without concerts, events with my audience, my listeners, my followers, even passers-by, but there was a great lack of vitality. The pandemic was strange, too long and often illogical, but I also appreciate that stage of life because of its ability to value people, public events and the opportunity to be in people. I learned about myself that I can also work with other creative activities. Honestly, I’ve always loved spending time at home, so I enjoyed it.
What are your dreams or goals for the near future?
New single, new music clip, finally concerts. Travel more, be with nature, work on music projects and plans.
What gives you peace of mind?
Music, walking, being alone.
And what does peace in the heart mean to you?
Awareness that I love myself and love me. Being safe and knowing that the people who matter to me are also safe.
Your source of strength?
Sleep!!!
Your sip of inspiration?
Other musicians, artists. Nature. Everything that happens around me. Books.
The most important lessons I realized at this time are far from easy.
One of the most important lessons is certainly the provision of assistance. Help the individual, but just the one who needs it, get to know the person and find out what he or she really needs. To blame people of other nationalities, races and orientations for blaming the world. I want people to increase their peace, joy, support, do good deeds. Let adults teach their children to accept other children even if the child is of a different nationality, appearance and race. To teach respect and love, not to incite hatred through your children in such circumstances. Children do not understand anything about it, and in this way the parents themselves deprive the children of the opportunity to make friends with other children. Why do I mention children? Children themselves naturally do not value others in appearance. They judge by feelings and emotions. Young people should also understand the dignity of their peers, even if they come from a multi-ethnic family. At the moment, I apply this to Russian-speakers, because young Latvians, unfortunately, still threaten others with blue air just because someone in the family also speaks Russian. It is sad how fast people change because of just one nuance and one event that we can’t even influence. Many different insights have been gained during this period, but the most important thing is definitely that people come and go in life.
