Even without Microsoft support, older PCs are getting updates for Windows 11

However, it seems that this is not happening and older PCs are also being updated with patches and enhancements packs. from Microsoft. At least that’s what happened with the update released this week, where everyone received it.

Something that may explain this release of updates is the fact that Microsoft has only one update channel for Windows 11, that is, not having a stream intended only for compatible PCs and others for those that do not meet the requirements.

It is also worth noting that it’s not known how long Microsoft will continue to release updates for machines that don’t meet hardware requirements, including the famous TPM 2.0.

On the other hand, this may also happen with updates that come with major and important OS fixes. Like every beginning of Windows, version 11 has been facing some bugs, including performance losses on AMD chips.
