TIME.CO, Jakarta – Name of the Governor of Central Java, reward Pranowo, siding internally in the National Mandate Party (PAN) and the United Development Party (PPP) as presidential candidates for 2024. These two parties along with the Golkar Party are members of the United Indonesia Coalition, aka KIB.
Indonesian Political Parameters Executive Director Adi Prayitno said that many PAN and PPP voters have always supported Ganjar from the start. Even without KIBhe said, Ganjar remains a potential candidate that will be brought forward by PAN and PPP because he was included in their presidential candidate’s radar.
“Without KIB, for example, Ganjar could potentially be carried by PPP and PAN because Ganjar is on their radar,” Adi told reporters. Time, Monday 17 October 2022.
According to Adi, the name Ganjar will bring out the internal dynamics of KIB. Because, he said, the Golkar party still insisted on taking the general president, Airlangga Hartarto, as a presidential candidate.
“The examination is obviously about the presidential and vice presidential candidates they will bring. PAN and PPP, including Ganjar’s name, will certainly dynamize the composition of the presidential and vice presidential candidates of the KIB,” he said.
Adi estimated that in the 2024 presidential election, the Golkar party could at least nominate Airlangga as its vice-presidential candidate. According to him, this is a rational decision considering that the Banyan party is the party that won the second general election after the Indonesian Democratic Struggle Party (PDIP).
Ganjar was invited to an internal PAN event
Earlier, a number of PAN Regional Executive Committees (DPWs) and Regional Leadership Councils (DPDs) of the PAN declared support for Ganjar to run for president in 2024. PAN Secretary General Eddy Soeparno admitted that he was not was surprised by the statement. Because, he said, Ganjar’s name was included among the 9 names proposed by the presidential candidates announced at the end of last August.
“When they announced the 9 names, they were the results of the selection in the districts and cities. Well, among the names that came out, there was just Ganjar. Although the name presented by DPW and DPD is also the name of Ganjar, No I would be surprised if it was stated because it is part of the selection process, “Eddy told Time, Monday 17 October 2022.
On several occasions, Eddy said that the PAN general president, Zulkifli Hasan, invited Ganjar to open an internal event. The area led by Ganjar, aka Central Java, called Eddy, is one of the areas his party is paying attention to in order to get a seat.
