Even with a storm, tourists arrive in Acapulco; They rescue 4 on the beach: VIDEO

Despite the rains and high waves in Acapulco through the passage of the storm “Dolores”, the port registers this Saturday 57.4 percent of hotel occupancy.

Although navigation and recreational activities were closed since Thursday, according to the local Tourism Secretariat, the municipality has a high number of occupied rooms, mainly in the Golden Zone with 64.5 percent.

While the traditional area accumulates in total the 41 percent of tourist activity.

On the other hand, the Diamante area, where after the rains of the Thursday, yesterday a crocodile was captured 2.5 meters long, it has occupied 48.6 percent of its rooms.

Likewise, four tourists were rescued on Icacos beach in the Coastal zone of the entity, reported the State Civil Protection Secretariat.

Through a statement, the state agency detailed that the two men and two women from Chilpancingo and two locals were at sea and due to the high waves caused by tropical storm Dolores, they were unable to go out on their own.

The bathers were cared for by rescuers from the Civil Protection Secretariat and agents of the Secretariat of the Navy (SEMAR).

The agency specified that although the storm changed course towards the coast of Michoacan, the rains will continue in the port and in other regions of the state during this Saturday.

According to PC, the rains will be moderate to heavy in the regions Costa Chica and Acapulco, while there will be light to moderate rains in Costa Grande, Center, Mountain, North and Tierra Caliente.

Acapulco, which is the second region of Guerrero with the most damage so far, reports the flooding of three houses; 27 trees fallen in the coastal, central and peripheral areas of the municipality; three fallen posts and a road collapse on the Scenic Avenue that connects the Golden Zone with the Diamond.
