The 2017 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was to present the film devoted to him on Saturday evening in Neuchâtel and La Chaux-de-Fonds. But Jacques Dubochet, 77 years old and therefore someone at risk, wanted to set an example and gave up pursuing this tour in French-speaking cinemas.

Many of them, both in Neuchâtel and in La Chaux-de-Fonds, came to the cinema on Saturday evening for a special screening of director Stéphane Goël’s latest film, “Citoyen Nobel”. The opportunity to meet in the flesh, after the screening, the “hero” of the film, the 2017 Nobel Prize in chemistry, Jacques Dubochet.
But the latter, through the producer Emmanuel Gétaz and the director, could only convey his “flat and sincere apologies” to the spectators. In the morning…
