Two employees of the UMC Groningen tested positive for the corona virus on Monday. This brings the total number of infections detected in the Groningen hospital to eight.

The UMCG announced on Sunday that six employees are infected with the virus. The six were tested after recently receiving complaints such as coughing. Some of them probably contracted the virus abroad. They were still traveling before the travel ban.
Departments
The six work in the departments of surgery, intensive care, pediatrics, orthodontics and radiotherapy. The UMCG investigates which people they have come into contact with. It is still unknown which departments the new patients work in.
The UMCG is investigating which patients and colleagues they have been in contact with.
