Even less for the manager – Ford has developed BlueCruise autopilot

The US car company Ford has developed its BlueCruise technology, which provides semi-autonomous driving on certain roads. This is possible thanks to the latest update with index 1.4.

Ford’s BlueCruise technology was named the best automated driving assistance system in the 2023 Consumer Reports study, edging out systems developed by Cadillac and Mercedes-Benz.

Next, Ford has released version 1.4 of BlueCruise, which makes it even more efficient, for example, it now works better in tight turns, as well as in bad weather and in the bright light. As a result, the driver can drive in hands-free mode 5-8 times longer than was possible with previous versions of autopilots.

BlueCruise 1.4 has learned to handle sharp turns – it used to require driver intervention, but now it slows down and handles the job on its own, leaving the driver in hands free mode. Functions such as changing lanes at the touch of the turn signal and the In-Lane Repositioning maneuver are also performed more efficiently, helping you gain more space by moving slightly and keeping your distance from vehicles in the adjacent lanes. .

BlueCruise 1.4 will be available in select 2025 Ford and Lincoln models, such as the F-150 and Navigator. Later, the model range will expand to include cars from previous production years.

According to Ford’s estimates, there are 492,000 BlueCruise-equipped vehicles worldwide, all of which have driven more than 392 million kilometers
