The multi-part romcom “Nobody Wants This” conquered the Netflix charts shortly after its release and quickly took first place in Germany. In the ten-part series, Kristen Bell (44) as a podcaster and Adam Brody (44) as an unconventional rabbi get to know each other and try to get a relationship going while having to avoid some cultural and family stumbling blocks.
The fact that the series works so well is particularly due to Bell and Brody, who, everyone agrees, convey outstanding chemistry to the screens. It’s not just Netflix viewers and the Internet who see it that way, as the first kiss between the two went viral. Even Kristen Bell noticed this – and her husband.
“I really want you to kiss him!”
In an interview with E News, Bell said when asked about her chemistry with her co-star, “Even I can admit that when I watch I think, ‘Wow, that’s hot.'” Her husband, actor Dax Shepard (49), apparently felt the same way: “My husband said the same thing. When we saw the first episode, he said, ‘Oh my God, I really want you to kiss him!’
But Shepard doesn’t have to worry about his marriage. For Bell, this much-vaunted chemistry is simple mathematics. “You have two actors who know how to stare dizzily into each other’s eyes and you have to have the confidence to exploit that moment and really put the moment of anticipation before the kiss – which I think is very important,” she explains of the magic.
