Due to the situation that we live in CDMX and in the world there are those who need help, especially in this holiday season. “Many children were left alone because of the Covid 19 pandemic, so giving them toys or food is a way to support them in these times,” says Paola Félix Díaz, Director of the CDMX Mixed Fund for Tourism Promotion.
The activist shares these options that we can follow to donate toys, clothes and other things to children. If you have children at home, surely there are toys that they no longer use and that other little ones may find useful or like.}
“In addition, this way you give them a second use, or you have the option of buying new toys to give away,” says Paola Félix. Some of the options are civic organizations, family homes, churches, nurseries, schools, and hospitals.
Paola Félix adds that the Mixed Fund for Tourism Promotion joins the toy donation campaign for children with cancer “Another way to help!” It is an initiative of Capital Bus to take to the XXI Century Medical Center.
The general recommendations are that toys and clothes are in good condition and, now, also disinfected so that children are not at risk. You can carry them in sealed boxes or clear plastic bags.

Red Cross
Paola Félix explains that one of the places where you can give these gifts and donations is the Red Cross. If you want more information or register the donation you can enter the page of the Mexican Red Cross.

United parents
The Padres Unidos association receives clothes and toys. You can find them in the church that is near your house, on Sundays it is when they deliver it to people who live on the street or to other people who need it.
There they will also clarify doubts about how the delivery will be and how to help during this health contingency. If you want to go directly to the association, it is on Toluca street number 5, Roma Sur.
Spreading will
It is a civil association that at this time organizes a campaign called “Three Kings Wanted” where volunteers write by mail and send a letter that must be attended to later bring the gifts. They meet in Parque México on December 21 and 22, although due to the red traffic light in CDMX they can be organized through social networks, in case you want to find more information.
They have other initiatives such as “Backpack of Change” to donate a backpack with school supplies and “Give another use to what you don’t use” to donate clothes, blankets, jackets, shoes and toys.
IREIRE Foundation
Supports low-income street children and vulnerable groups. You can donate food like beans, rice, pasta, and other non-perishable foods; and toys.
You can also bring clothes, shoes, blankets, toys, and school supplies. If you want you can call before to ask for more information.
