Researcher Octavian Jurma criticizes the decision of the Ministry of Education to end the students’ holiday on January 3, saying that it will be a catalyst for Omicron strain infections.

The doctor says that the official debut of the 5-Omicron wave can be considered on January 1, 2022.

He claims that the onset of the 5th wave was almost 2 weeks ahead of the INSP forecast, “precisely because of the measures of inappropriate relaxation, the abandonment of the green certificate and the opening of schools at the worst possible time from an epidemiological point of view.”
