Actor and retired government official Abraham Koshy said that under the cover of Kovid, looting and looting is going on in some hospitals in Kerala. Abraham Koshy reveals his experience of being in the hospital with Kovid, a day robbery at a private hospital. He was admitted to a super specialty hospital on January 28 and was billed more than Rs 2 lakh by the hospital authorities. The video shared by Abraham Koshy clarified these issues and was discussed on social media.
In the words of Abraham Koshy: “I am Abraham Koshy, a 69-year-old retired government official, I was confirmed by Kovid on 28/01/2021 and I was admitted to a super specialty hospital. After being in the isolation ward and being diagnosed with their disease on the 31st, we all moved into a room as per the doctor’s opinion and got an AC room as there were no other rooms and the rent was Rs 10,300 per day. ‘
“This room rent only includes the doctor’s fee, the nurse’s fee and the room rent. It does not include any of the tests and things. On the second day after the three of us returned, they gave us a part bill of Rs 2,40,000. When we inquired, the three of us stayed in this room but each day the rent was Rs 10,300. They say they have to pay Rs 31,000 a day in rent and everyone has to pay the full rent. “
“The nurses are convinced that the patients have to buy PPE kits. There are 2 nurses. They have to buy two PPE kits a day. This sister takes care of at least 10 people a day. Ten people have to buy PPE kits. Even if you buy 20 kits a day for 2 nurses, it costs only 2 kits a day. “In the case of Kovid, the biggest problem is that it’s not possible to pay the rent of Rs 30,000 a day. I have to stay here for another 14 days. I can not pay the bill even if my family is sold,” said Abraham Koshy.
