Even if a wild boar attacking people in Samcheok, Gangwon Province and carrying the African swine fever (ASF) virus caught it, it was still crowded.
In Samcheok City, two residents were killed in the wild boar attack in December 2015 and December 2016, and from 2017, they started to catch wild boars by sending them in.
Although wild boars have been caught in the last three years (2018-2020), there are 4,534.
In particular, in order to block the spread of ASF, a total of 2,545 animals were caught for about one year from November 15, 2019 to November 31, 2020.
However, professional pilots who took the capture explained that “there are still many wild boars in the deep mountains.”
As a result, Samcheok City is planning to intensively combat wild and wild animals such as wild boars by introducing 50 professional shooters starting this month.
An official from Samcheok City said on the 20th, “We started operating a group to prevent damage to wild animals from this month to prevent human and material damage caused by wild boars.”
