Evaluation of Electric Vehicle Incentives in Jakarta

Incentives electric vehicle will be evaluated due to lack of enthusiasts. According to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif the evaluation process will be carried out next Monday (31/7/2023).

“So we will definitely discuss that again, Monday we will discuss it again,” Arifin said at the Opening Degree of the First Electric Motorcycle Conversion at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Office, Central Jakarta, Friday (28/7/2023).

One of the incentives for electric vehicles that have been provided is a subsidy of Rp. 7 million for the purchase of a new electric motorbike. However, the conditions that have been given so far are said to be too strict.

Arifin said that it is possible that these conditions might be expanded in the evaluation of electric vehicle incentives.

“Maybe we will expand it, we will evaluate it first, the main thing is that now the road is good or not. If it’s not good, how can it be better,” said Arifin.

According to detikcom’s records, the new electric motorbike subsidy is only given to MSME recipients of KUR, recipients of micro business productive assistance or BPUM, and wage subsidy assistance, as well as recipients of 450-900 VA electricity subsidies.
