“I had a conversation with President Putin. I persistently urged him to an immediate humanitarian corridor from Mariupol and other surrounded cities, especially on the eve of Easter,” Michel said.
The head of the European Council also assured that in a telephone conversation with the head of the Kremlin, he stressed that the EU continues to adhere to its position regarding support for Ukraine, the sanctions policy against the Russian Federation, as well as condemnation of Russian aggression.
“Our unity, principles and values are unshakable,” he concluded.
