There are about 100 Ukrainian citizens on board. The previous evacuation was difficult.
In Afghanistan, a plane took off from Kabul airport with about 100 Ukrainians on board. This was announced by Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba during the Crimean Platform summit on 23 August.
“While we are discussing the issue of Crimea, another Ukrainian plane took off from Kabul, and there are more than 100 Ukrainian citizens on board,” Kuleba said.
Note today there was a shootout at the Kabul airport with unknown persons, in which the American and German military took part.
On the eve, a Ukrainian military transport aircraft with evacuees from Kabul arrived in Boryspil. As told in the Office of the President, “this was not the case in action films either”.
