Operations leader Pål Bjelland says emergency services are on the scene, and two people have inhaled smoke.
“They managed to get out themselves and are not critically injured. Police and fire department are on site and extinguishing is underway,” he told VG.
“One of the houses is completely destroyed. As far as we know, no one is missing,” Bjelland told VG at 02:55.
“At 03:39, it was reported that the fire is under control.”
One of the individuals who inhaled smoke has been sent to the hospital. Bjelland says a total of 25 people have been evacuated.
“They will be taken to Ullerud nursing home for the night in collaboration with the municipality,” the operations leader said.
There was a risk of the fire spreading, and the fire department focused on stopping it. At 03:18, the police reported that the fire department has control over further spread.
There are reportedly three units in the townhouse. The fire started in one of the houses and spread to another.
It is not yet known if there are more individuals unaccounted for.
