entertainment">“Intense,” described Jinek the situation. She thought the show went ‘really well until the last five minutes’ on Thursday night. “It was an honest, fair and hard conversation at the table until the last five minutes. Then the rules of the game changed and it was no longer fair. I think that is a pity, a pity. ”
entertainment">During the performance of King the presenter was ‘waiting for the tipping point’. “But I only heard bad things, it didn’t change. I am not someone who quickly fell on her mouth, but I was quiet for a while. ”
entertainment">She thought the roast was ‘not fair’. “If you can only sit and take in what someone says to you and you don’t have the opportunity to argue with it, then the rules have changed. I feel responsible for protecting my guests from that too. ” Why didn’t she intervene? “I think it’s quite a bit to break into a performance, I’m not used to that,” explained the presenter.
entertainment">All in all, Jinek is ‘not happy’ with the performance that Koning gave. “This has a lot of damage for the program and for what we make. I am really fed up with that. ”
Roast
entertainment">Koning joked in his roast about, among other things, the alleged anti-Semitism in Forum for Democracy and Baudet’s statements about ‘homeopathic dilution’ of the Dutch people. The comedian stated, among other things, that anti-Semites and racists must be disappointed in Baudet because he has a Jewish girlfriend and Indian blood. Baudet then left the broadcast prematurely.
entertainment">RTL and Jinek stated on Friday morning that King had crossed a line with his jokes and therefore distanced themselves completely from the content of the comedian’s contribution. Koning himself understands that RTL is angry, but states that both the editors and the channel know what kind of jokes he is making: “I have been on the program before to comment on politicians. I can go in with a straight leg, they know that. ”
