Brotherhood of Man frontman Martin Lee has died.

Singer of the British band Brotherhood of Man Martin Lee has died, the Mirror reports.
The band announces that Lee died on Sunday, September 29. He was 77 years old.
– It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our friend and colleague Martin Lee. He passed away peacefully on Sunday evening of heart failure after a short illness, Brotherhood of Man informs.

Brotherhood of Man is especially remembered for the Eurovision Song Contest. The group won the competition in 1976 with their song Save Your Kisses For Mewhich became a worldwide hit and one of the most memorable five-time winners.
Martin Lee, I would be born Martin Barnesrepresented Britain in The Hague together with his bandmates by Lee Sheriden, Sandra Stevensin and Nicky Stevensin with. Lee was the main soloist of the song.

The quartet has continued in the band to this day, although the latest album The Seventies Story was published in 2002.
In Christmas 2022, Brotherhood of Man announced their retirement from performing, but assured that the band is still together. The quartet’s last live performance was in October 2020.

Lee started his solo career before joining the band, but it didn’t take off.
Martin Lee married bandmate Sandra Stevens in 1979. The couple lived in Surrey and remained together until Lee’s death. Lee has a daughter born in 1973 from her previous marriage.

Lee, who was born and lived in England, also lived in Australia as a child for five years.
