Bad news for Tom Leeb after the cancellation of the 2020 Eurovision competition. Indeed, while many hoped that the songs chosen this year could have a second life in 2021, it will ultimately not be possible!
Indeed, Eurovision organizers announced this weekend that this year’s songs will not be eligible for the 2021 competition.

In a statement released earlier this week, it was confirmed that the final of Eurovision 2020, which was to be held in Rotterdam in the Netherlands in May, was finally canceled, due to “the uncertainty created by the spread of COVID-19 throughout Europe ”.
The producers released a statement on Friday confirming that the songs could not be carried over to next year’s event. But they clarified that countries could always send the same artist with another song.

It remains to be seen whether France Television will renew its confidence in Tom Leeb, whose song mixing French and English had already received strong criticism.
