Eurovision: Coronavirus in the Polish delegation. Rafał Brzozowski’s performance at risk?

The Polish delegation to this year’s Eurovision Song Contest was found to be infected with coronavirus – the organizer of this event, the European Broadcasting Union, informed on Saturday. The entire delegation, including the Polish candidate Rafał Brzozowski, will therefore not be able to participate in tomorrow’s opening ceremony.

One of the members of the Polish team, whose name was not given, tested positive for the coronavirus on Saturday. This means that all Poles have been quarantined.

The Eurovision Song Contest will officially start on Sunday evening in Rotterdam.

“Our overriding goal is to make the event completely safe from Covid-19, and the health of all participants and people working at the event and the audience is our priority” – the organizers say in the statement.

Brzozowski’s performance live at Eurovision 2021 will depend on the results of the PCR tests that the Polish delegation will undergo in the coming days.
