It is not an exaggeration to say that on Saturday night the whole of Greece watched ERT1 and Eurovision with the overall average exceeding 70%, which, for today’s television times, is considered almost a television miracle.
There are many Eurofans in Greece and as usual most households watched it.
This year, it had a little more interest compared to other years and especially last year, because of the dynamic Greek mission in Sweden, with the song “Zari” by Marina Satti, but mainly because of the big reactions about Israel’s involvement in the midst of crime in Gaza, even by artists who participated in the event wearing the jersey of other countries.
The grand final achieved particularly high viewership rates, giving ERT a 71.6% share among the dynamic audience and 68.6% among the general public.
It should be noted that last Thursday (9/5), in the second semi-final where Marina Satti appeared, the viewership rates were equally high, since in the dynamic audience it was recorded at 44.5% of viewers while it reached the fourth 00:00 – 00: 15, i.e. at the time of the announcement of the results, to 54.6%.
