The show presented by Bambie Thug may shock, but it also makes a huge impression. What do bookmakers say about the further chances of “Doomsday Blue”?

On May 7, the first semi-final of the 68th Eurovision Song Contest took place in Malmö. Luna, representing Poland with the song “The Tower”, fought against representatives of fourteen other countries to advance to the finals. Who moved on and who dropped out?

She was one of Luna’s rivals Bambie Thug, winner of the Irish Eurosong 2024 preselection. W Malmö performs the song “Doomsday Blue”, which arouses great emotions from the very beginning. Shortly after being elected to represent Ireland, the artist was criticized by the local right-wing circles.

Even though some time ago the bookmakers did not predict that she would even advance to the final, the 31-year-old prepared a spectacular and refined show down to the smallest detail, appreciated already after the rehearsals organized before Tuesday’s concert. Bambie Thug just before presenting in the semi-finals won the so-called Press Poll conducted by the ESCXTRA portal. In a survey conducted among media representatives it was her performance that was chosen as the best.

Positive opinions about the Irish representative were repeated when she officially appeared on stage with “Doomsday Blue”. He was also delighted with her show Krystian Ochman, Polish representative from 2022.

Just like before, Bamba Thug was not given a chance to make it to the finals, so now he is among the favorites in bookmakers’ quotations. He is currently in fifth place in the winner’s rankings. Only songs from Croatia, Switzerland, Italy and Ukraine are rated better.
