Mede is one of Sweden’s best-known presenters and previously presented the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 and 2016. Malin Åkerman, born in Stockholm and raised in Canada, is known as an actress for films such as ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ and ‘Rock of Ages’ . The two have not worked together before, but say they are very much looking forward to presenting the Eurovision Song Contest together.

The Eurovision Song Contest will take place from Tuesday 7 to Sunday 11 May in Malmö. Mustii will defend our country on May 9 in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest. It is not yet known which song the 33-year-old singer will bring to the event. About three weeks ago, Mustii called on his fans via social media to participate in his Eurovision Song Contest song. “ My song is almost ready, but something is missing. You,” said Thomas Mustin, as Mustii is really called. “In my song there is a big choir, a fantastic choir and for that I need singing voices. I want you to sing along. I want your votes with me on stage. You can follow the text rules on the website. You don’t have to be professional singers. I especially need your energy,” he said in his appeal on Instagram.
In addition to Belgium, Austria, Estonia, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark and Armenia will also participate in the second semi-final. The ten best artists from each semi-final will advance to the grand final on Saturday, May 11. Sweden, last year’s winner, is already in the final. Italy, France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom, members of the so-called ‘big five’, are also assured of a ticket.
