As expected, Norway’s Eurovision hope Alessandra Mele progressed from the semi-finals on Tuesday. Thus, she will sing in the final on Saturday.

Morten Thomassen, president of the Norwegian MGP club, is impressed by the performance.
– She did a great job, delivered the goods, focused on her job and got the party started in a great way, says Thomassen to NTB.
– This is the best I have seen her. This is going to work, he continues.
The countries that go to the final with Norway are Croatia, Moldova, Switzerland, Finland, the Czech Republic, Israel, Portugal, Sweden and Serbia.
Technical problems during the test
Tuesday’s test was troublesome for Alessandra. She must have experienced problems hearing her own singing in her ears. The problem lay in the wireless in-ear system that the artists have.
Afterwards, the artist was asked by the Norwegian press how the test went.
– I will be honest. I don’t think it went well. But it wasn’t because of me. I could hardly hear myself. I only heard the sound outside, and it was very low, says Alessandra Mele.
– Of course you get a little stressed. But a bad dress rehearsal means a good live show – people say, she adds.
They had to do a second test of the listening system, so that it would work for the semi-final.
Popular votes only
New this year, only public votes determine the results in the semi-finals. The exception is if the voting system collapses – then the jury votes that were cast on Monday count.
