The year-on-year increase was recorded in 16 EU Member States for which data are available, but the fastest growth was in Lithuania (+ 45.4%), Greece (+ 23.1%), Denmark (+ 19.6%) and Belgium (+10, 6%) and Poland (+ 8.9%). In Estonia, industrial output increased by 2.8%
Meanwhile, the decline over the period was recorded in Romania (-6.6%), Portugal (-6.5%), the Czech Republic (-4.9%), Malta (-4.7%) and Hungary (-2.7%), Germany and Spain (-1.1% in both countries), Slovakia (-0.6%) and France (-0.4%).
At the same time, industrial production output in the EU Member States grew by 3.6% month-on-year in October, and by 3.3% in the euro area.
Compared to the previous month – September – industrial output in the EU increased by 1.2% in October, but in the euro area – by 1.1%.
Compared to the previous month, industrial output increased in 19 countries, with the sharpest increases in Germany and Slovakia (both + 3%), Greece (+ 2.5%) and Denmark (+ 2.1%), while the decline was recorded in Estonia (-2 , 4%), Latvia (-1.5%), the Netherlands and Romania (-0.9% in both countries), as well as Spain and Italy (-0.6% in both countries). In Lithuania, industrial output increased by 0.6%.
Data for Ireland and Cyprus are not available on an annual or monthly basis.
