Composer Rihards Dubra, Baiba Kurpniece, artistic producer of State Chamber Orchestra “Sinfonietta Rīga” and Zane Prēdele, coordinator of Euroradio music projects of Latvian Radio 3 “Klasika” will take part in the talks. The talks will be conducted by the director of Latvian Radio 3 “Klasika” Gunda Vaivode.
The Euroradio Christmas concert is a special event, as such concerts are broadcast live in several member states of the European Broadcasting Union. From the “Latvija” concert hall, the concert, in which the State Chamber Orchestra “Sinfonietta Rīga”, pianist Daumants Liepiņš and organist Liene Andreta Kalnciems, under the direction of conductor Normunds Šnė, will participate, will be broadcast via the live broadcast of Latvian Radio 3 “Klasika”, but concertgoers will be able to enjoy this event in person. The concert will feature the compositions of Georg Friedrich Handel, Ferenc Liszt, Alfred Kalniņš and Rihard Dubra.
Since 1995, the Euroradio Christmas concert has been one of the most beautiful events in Euroradio’s seasonal offer, and the live broadcasts of these concerts have a very wide audience in Europe, North America and elsewhere. During the pre-concert talks, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the development of live concert broadcasts in Latvia and which Euroradio members have chosen to broadcast the concert from the “Latvija” concert hall. You will hear the story of the experience of these concerts by the State Chamber Orchestra “Sinfonietta Rīga”, and the composer Rihards Dubra will share the secrets of the creation of the new piano and chamber orchestra “Concertino di Natale”. Entry to talks is free.
