The European police organization Europol published a new list of the 62 most wanted criminals on Friday. Also on the list are two Belgians: Flor Bressers and Tom Michielsen, just like a Filipino man who is wanted in our country for murder.

Bressers was sentenced in March 2020 by the Antwerp Court of Appeal to a prison term of 4 years for, among other things, theft with violence, extortion with weapons and unlawful deprivation of liberty with death threat.
Michielsen has both Belgian and Dutch nationality and was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for international drug trafficking. Together with his business partner, he transported several kilos of drugs in the Netherlands and Belgium. Europol suspects Michielsen is hiding in Spain.
Finally, the Filipino Cristano Attolba Pinkihan was sentenced in 2013 by the Flemish Brabant court of assizes to 15 years in prison for the murder of Raul Simeon.
The name of Jan Marsalek also stands out. The former CEO of the German fintech company Wirecard is suspected of large-scale fraud and embezzlement, among other things. Europol suspects that the Austrian has left Germany and has gone into hiding.
Many names on the list have already been sentenced to long prison terms, but managed to escape. For some, Europol is also offering a reward of 25,000 euros for tips that could lead to their arrest.
The public is asked to view the names and faces and to pass on any tips via the website.
Since Europol published the first version of a list of most wanted criminals in 2016, it has already managed to arrest 110 of them. Of these, 41 were arrested thanks to tips on the website.
