(AOF) – Europlasma, a specialist in treatment and hazardous waste, material recovery and decarbonization, announces that its Chinese subsidiary Europlasma Environmental Technology (“EET”) has signed an agreement with Shandong Haogang Environmental Protection Technology Co. This agreement concerns the project to set up a first aluminum waste treatment plant in China.
This agreement provides for the supply, by EET, of an aluminum dross treatment unit using an innovative process developed over the last three years in its research center in Hangzhou, as well as the supply of two plasma torches.
Shandong Haogang Environmental Protection Technology Co. would be in charge of land, civil engineering and construction. Valuing everyone’s contributions is still under discussion.
The capacity of this installation would allow, within 18 months, the decontamination of 90,000 tons per year of aluminum waste and their conversion into alumina of a purity greater than 80%, a real raw material sought by the industries of the aluminum and refractory materials.
