The British “Financial Times” reported on the 7th that the European Union has proposed to impose sanctions on a number of Chinese companies, which are accused of selling related equipment that can be used to support weapons used by Russia in the war.
According to the report, the sanctions list reviewed by the Financial Times shows that seven Chinese companies have been included in the new sanctions plan that EU member states will discuss this week.
The sanctions list includes two mainland companies: 3HC Semiconductors and King-Pai Technology, and five companies from Hong Kong, including Sinno Electronics, Sigma Technology , Asia Pacific Links, Tordan Industry and Alpha Trading Investments.
Previously, companies such as Jinpai Technology have been sanctioned by the United States. The U.S. says Kingpai is a Chinese supplier to several entities in Russia’s military-industrial complex.
The European Union has imposed 10 sanctions on Russian individuals and companies since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine 14 months ago, causing economic hardship and making war financing more difficult.
