Brussels, October 1 (QNA) – European stocks opened flat today, after falling one percent in the previous session, at a time when investors are waiting for inflation data in the zone the euro is expected to be released later in the day.
There was little change in the European STOXX 600 index, which settled at 522.97 points, after recording its worst day in more than a week yesterday, Monday.
Technology stocks were the biggest contributor to the European index, rising 0.5 percent, while a sub-index of energy stocks fell around five percent.
Eurozone PMI data for September is expected to be released this afternoon, as well as PMIs for the bloc’s business sector, as well as Germany, France, Italy and Great Britain.
