Live: European stock indices rose at the close of trading on Wednesday, with consumer confidence in the euro zone increasing unexpectedly this month.
At the end of the session, the European Stoxx 600 index rose 0.3% to 457.2 points, the highest level since September 20, and gains were limited by a decline in the energy, mining and banking sectors.
While the value of the British “FTSE 100” decreased by 0.15% to 7469 points, the value of the German “DAX” index increased by 0.35% at 15957 points, while the French “CAC” index rose by 0.45% at 7260 points.
