European Sleeper is a Dutch-Belgian rail initiative. At the end of 2022, the start of the Brussels-Amsterdam-Berlin route, with a stop in Antwerp in Belgium, was officially announced. And another test drive was conducted earlier this week.
The night train will run three times a week, departing from Belgium on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The initiators have the ambition to extend the route next year to the East German city of Dresden and to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. In addition, they hope to launch a night train to Barcelona in 2025.
The new night train is the second in Belgium, after the NightJet of the Austrian railway company ÖBB to the Austrian capital Vienna. It also runs three times a week.
