European scandal: Bulgarian government finance linked to Lukoil and Putin – Nikolay Denkov at the center

A huge European scandal swirled around the government of Nikolay Denkov.

“We continue the change” continues to finance “Lukoil Neftokhim”, thus the Putin regime, and through European funds.

The Minister of Innovation and Growth, Milena Stoicheva, has approved a project of “Lukoil Neftochem” for the transition to a circular economy under the “Support for the transition to a circular economy in enterprises”.

This is evident from lists of projects approved for financing, and to which a contract will be offered to be signed, an inspection of Epicenter.bg found.

Number 40 in the list of large enterprises is “Lukoil Neftohim”, and it is planned that the refinery will receive 1 million BGN of free European funding for a project of BGN 5 million.

The scandalous thing in this case is that while the EU imposes sanctions on Russia, the Minister of “Change” supports the company that finances the Putin regime. What is even more scandalous is that the funding is provided by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan under the Economic Transformation Program.

We remind you that one of the main accusations against Nikolay Denkov’s office is that some of his ministers have a personal interest in Lukoil.

Lukoil is a Russian company owned by the Russian state. We see who is talking to her – the prime minister and the chief of staff. Check which arms dealer gave them the meeting and how the commissions are going,” said DPS chairman Delyan Peevski a month ago.

The Chairman of the Energy Commission, Delyan Dobrev, also made serious accusations. A week ago, he revealed that Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Asen Vassilev visited the Lukoil headquarters on a day off. He went there in the private car of the company’s executive director, Alexander Velichkov. “What is the Minister of Finance doing in a Lukoil car and at the Lukoil headquarters on a day off?” Dobrev asked, and at this point there is no answer.

“All the Russian props that Denkov and Vassilev repeated turned out to be just props. But during this time the billions flowed to Russia. They lied to us for a year and a half in order to protect Russian interests,” the GERB MP pointed out several times and added that the real culprits who benefited Russia are in the Council of Ministers.

Dobrev recalled that whenever there was talk of removing Lukoil’s derogation, Denkov threatened to resign.

“Billions went to Putin. Denkov threatened us with resignation, me personally. Because there was going to be an explosion in fuel prices, because the refinery was going to close, because technologically it could not work with non-Russian oil. None of these things happened. Why did we scare the gargoyles? So that they could work with the cheap Russian oil”, Borisov has pointed out several times so far, emphasizing: “I am speaking against the money that goes to Putin”.
