The natural gas price in Europe broke through the limit of 200 euros on Friday: an absolute record. Traders are concerned about the impact of the war in Ukraine on gas supplies.

On the Dutch futures market – the benchmark for prices in Europe – the natural gas price rose 27 percent on Friday to more than 203 euros per megawatt hour. Electricity prices are also shooting up, with record prices for electricity delivery this weekend.
It was also announced on Friday that the diesel price will reach a new record from Saturday. From then on, the maximum price for diesel will be above 2 euros per liter.
