European member states agree on stricter export controls on corona vaccines

The stricter controls are mainly aimed at pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, which supplies considerably fewer vaccines than it has promised, while vaccines are going to the United Kingdom. According to Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen, AstraZeneca must first catch up before it can implement it.

Our country supports such an export ban, but it must not endanger free trade and not affect companies that do comply with the agreements made, such as Pfizer has a factory in Puurs, says De Croo.
