Several incidents on the pitch and beyond left an unpleasant stain on the retaliatory match between Rangers FC and Slavia Prague (0: 2). The Scottish vice-champion apparently did not suffer a loss and he angered the Slavia players.
According to Czech Television Ondřej Kúdela was to be attacked and beaten into blood in the tunnel after the match. At the post-match press, coach Steven Gerrard accused the Prague tracker of making racist remarks about Glen Kamar, which Slavia’s boss Jaroslav Tvrdík vehemently denies. Slavia Praha finally had to call the police after the win, which evacuated the team from the stadium.

The home team’s fans were upset when, after 87 minutes, Kúdela broke through on the left and put the 1 – 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. He told him something that led to a push between players.
“I told him, ‘You’re a guy.’ It was simply said in emotions after those two red cards and a few brutal interventions by the opponent. But I absolutely reject racism, “ said Ondřej Kudela in a recording for the media from the club.
“I have a very strong relationship with Glen, I trust him 100 percent. Other players around heard it as well. I’m angry. Sometimes things happen during a career that are more important than football itself. That happened today. Now it’s at UEFA. I hope it doesn’t sweep under the rug, “ said the former captain of the English national team Steven Gerrard.

The conflict between Kúdel and Kamar was to be transferred from the field to the bowels of the stadium in which the defender was attacked. According to ČT, Steven Gerrard just watched everything and did not intervene at all.
“After the match, the team was not allowed into the cabins and Kudela was cowardly beaten with fists in the face by Kamar in the presence of coach Steven Gerrard without warning. UEFA representatives, who were present in person at the whole incident, were also shocked. “ stated in its statement Slavia Prague.
Slavia spokesman Michal Býček also confirmed the summoning of the police and the subsequent evacuation. After the tense conclusion, the visiting players and the implementation team were not even allowed into the locker rooms 30 minutes after the final whistle.
“Slavia categorically opposes the fact that Ondřej Kúdela racistly insulted the opponent’s players in any way. We are shocked that our player was physically attacked after the match. At Slavia’s request, the case is handled by the local police. We want a detailed investigation of the whole situation by UEFA, “ stated Jaroslav Tvrdík on the social network Twitter.
