European Leaders Meet in Paris to Send Message to Putin: Russia Will Not Win in Ukraine

On Monday, February 26, some 20 European leaders will meet in Paris to send a signal to Russian strongman Putin of Europe’s resolve on Ukraine.

They want to counter the Kremlin’s claims that Russia will “inevitably win the war” against Ukraine, an adviser to President Emmanuel Macron told reporters yesterday. According to him, he is convening an urgent meeting due to the escalation of Russian aggression in the past few weeks.

“We want to send a very clear signal to Putin that he will not win in Ukraine. Our goal is to destroy this idea that he wants us to believe that he will somehow win,” the Macron adviser was quoted as saying. The Guardian.

Two years of full-scale war: what threatens Russia

Let us recall that the other day, Russia’s representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, called on the EU to stop helping Ukraine in order to “try to save at least something from it,” otherwise Russia will “fight for this to the end.”

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who systematically threatens the world with nuclear war, recently called on Russians to “take revenge on the Western world wherever possible.” According to him, on the territory of these countries, Russians should “carry out activities that are not customary to talk about publicly.”
