The European Space Agency has warned that temperatures across southern Europe will hit record highs in the coming days, with countries including Spain, France, Germany and Poland expected to experience extreme heat. An anticyclone named “Charon” (Charon) advanced from North Africa to the Mediterranean region on the 16th, which may cause the maximum temperature in Sicily to rise above 48.8 degrees Celsius.
