European Euclid Space Telescope Reveals First Experimental Images Despite Technical Difficulties

The European Euclid space telescope, whose mission is to study dark matter and energy in the universe, has arrived at its observing point and revealed its first experimental images yesterday.

The European Space Agency said, in a statement, that the images indicate that the telescope will be able to achieve its goals. After taking off from Florida in early July, the European telescope, which was also co-created by NASA, flew to its destination 1.5 million kilometers from Earth.

But when the two instruments were turned on, the scientists had a great deal of fear, because an unexpected light source was hitting the images, according to the European Space Agency. And the agency stated that research into the cause of the problem “indicated that sunlight was leaking into the vehicle, perhaps through a small hole.”
