European Commissioner: EU does not need Russian vaccine against coronavirus

how informs TF1 TV channel, European Commissioner for Internal Market Thierry Breton told reporters that the Russian vaccine against the Sputnik V coronavirus will most likely not be needed by the European Union.

Four other drugs have already been approved by the EU and are expected to be sufficient to achieve herd immunity, he said.

“Europe has the most vaccines approved by the medical regulator today … We will absolutely not need Sputnik V … and other drugs,” he said.
