European Championship Euro 2020 Bonus Structure and Payouts Revealed: How Much Money Will Teams and Players Earn?

In addition to the premium for participation itself, individual countries will be able to receive additional funding for results at the tournament. One million euros (24.4 million crowns) will be awarded for a won match in the group, half as much for a draw.

Advancement to the round of 16 will earn individual associations 1.5 million euros (36.5 million crowns), the quarter-finals 2.5 million euros (60.9 million crowns) and the semi-finals four million euros (97.4 million crowns). The defeated finalist will receive five million euros (over 121.8 million crowns), the winner of the championship will receive three million euros more (194.8 million crowns).

If a country wins all seven matches at the Euros, it will reach the maximum amount of 28.25 million euros (687.9 million crowns). The Czech team earned around 378 million crowns, including the participation bonus, at the last continental championship, where it reached the quarter-finals the year before.

The amount is traditionally divided between the FAČR and the representative selection according to the premium rules, which are approved before the start of the qualification. By what ratio, the chairman of the association, Petr Fousek, did not reveal.

The premium will also go to coach Jaroslav Šilhavé, who, after progressing to the Euros, finished the team’s qualification together with the implementation team after the last match.
