The problem is that there are several bus models produced in the country that are exported overseas. Overseas customers have been impressed with the boldest Indonesian-made bus body designs!
This was said directly by the General President of Askarindo (Indonesian Association of the Corps of the Corps), Sommy Lumadjeng. According to Sommy, foreign customers like Indonesian buses because they have more varied designs.
“So there are (external customers) who contacted me. Then I asked, why don’t you buy buses from Europe?” Sommy said at the Busworld Southeast Asia 2022 press conference in Jakarta (20/9).

According to Sommy, the auto body industry in Indonesia has absorbed European technology very well. But not for the exterior models or the exterior design of the bus body.

Sommy went on, adding that the bus industry in Europe may have been too cocky because it currently thinks it is the most extraordinary. “But that’s not really the case,” he said again.

One of the factors that makes Indonesia’s bus bodywork industry pioneering is the trendy character of Indonesian consumers. “Indonesians are different.
