This Saturday, the Open Orbi coworking hosted a meeting between European and Castilla y León entrepreneurs at its facilities in Lodares de Osma.
The objective of this initiative, which has been carried out in collaboration with Sorian lands of the Cid and the network, the Network of Rural Coworking Spaces of Castilla y León (COWOCYL), has been to connect the foreign talent with the talent of the autonomous community.
According to sources from the organization, during the event various projects were collaboratively devised projects of interest for the region, highlighting among others, a Soria food brand, a web platform with resources and information on the territory and a program of traveling services related to leisure and art aimed at the senior population.
The event exceeded 40 assistants that operate in different sectors such as finance, agri-food, marketing or well-being.
Half of the participants came from countries such as Finland, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Greece or Portugal. The rest came from different provinces of the regional geography.
During the meeting, they shared solutions and proposals for the development of the territory and dynamics were carried out to create contact networks with all of Europe. In addition, the participating people shared a meal with the values of the territory (healthy, local products and surrounded by nature).
“The day has been an excellent opportunity to discover new ways to solve rural problems and, ultimately, to reactivate innovation in our territory for the 2023-2027 period,” sources from the organization have declared.
The presence of the entrepreneurs European, a total of fourteen, was provided by Open Orbi through The Break, a program to attract European female entrepreneurship to Spain that is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
Precisely, the coworking soriano has been selected by the School of Industrial Organization (EOI), attached to the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, as one of the Spanish venues for The Break 2023.
For their part, both Tierras del Cid and COWOCYL invited the rest of the entrepreneurial people.
COWOCYL is a regional cooperation project promoted since 2021 by six local action groups.
Its objective is to offer spaces for entrepreneurship and teleworking in rural areas to consolidate the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the territories, settling the population.
