Belgium & France

Roadblocks due to farmers’ actions
In Belgium in France Several highways and roads are closed due to farmers’ actions.

Situation Belgium
Several roads in Belgium have been closed due to farmers’ protests. There are blockages in Brussels, Aalter and Halle, among others. Because of these protests Major connecting roads (border crossings) from the Netherlands to Belgium were blocked on Saturday. This concerns the:

  • A67 Eindhoven – Antwerp (both directions).

Of A4 at the Markiezaat junction and the A16 have been released in both directions.

You can take a detour via the highway via:

  • N62 Borssele – Terneuzen Western Scheldt Tunnel
  • A2 Maastricht – Liège
  • A76 Stein – Maasmechelen

Border traffic causes delays on local roads.

Situation France
In France, many highways are blocked by farmers’ blockades. Since Monday, January 29, several access roads to Paris have also been blocked.

Please note that blockages can be suddenly removed or raised again. Consult the traffic information before departure or en route ANWB On the Road app. And when planning a route with the ANWB Route Planner Belgium or France, the planner automatically plans around the blocked roads.
