No water pollution was found within a 1 mile radius around the stranded cargo ship Vera SU.
This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, citing information from a detailed survey of the area by a drone sent by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).
As part of the measures to reduce the harmful impact on the environment, the Bulgarian side has requested assistance from EMSA to provide technical means available to the Agency.
In addition to the drone, so far EMSA has provided floating bunkers that are already traveling to Bulgaria. They will remove the liquefied cargo from the ship.
