Europe is once again the epicenter of the pandemic, the World Health Organization has warned.
In the last four weeks, the number of newly infected people on the Old Continent has increased by 55%, despite the availability of vaccines, BNT reported.
WHO experts are adamant that the hospital is mostly unimmunized.
There has also been an increase in deaths. A record number of new infections were registered in Germany and Slovakia, and the situation in Romania remains critical. Ukraine and Russia have the highest number of deaths. Austria is expected to announce new, stricter rules in the fight against the virus today.
