Europe has a sad lead – it dominates the ranking of the fastest growing infected. According to the World Health Organization, Belgium is the worst off, followed by the Czech Republic.
“The number of hospitalized is growing, the number of people who require lung ventilation is increasing and the number of dead is increasing,” said Minister of Health Roman Prymula (for YES).
According to doctors, the hospitals are mainly older. “For those young people, it usually tends to be really mild, or they may not even notice it,” says Václav Hořejší, an immunologist from the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the ASCR.
Health Minister Roman Prymula hopes that the spread of coronavirus will slow down this extended weekend. Compared to the surrounding states, we have the most infected population per hundred thousand. The situation is also deteriorating in our Slovak neighbors. They recorded 552 new cases on Friday.
This is the highest daily gain since the beginning of the pandemic. The Slovak Prime Minister therefore takes the fight against coronavirus into his own hands. “A third of people with a pardon follow the rules. We see a dramatic increase in people over 65 and these people have a hundred times better chance of dying than a young sickle,” the Slovak Prime Minister Igor Matovič is angry.
Other European countries are not well off either. The Spanish Minister of Health is considering a nationwide quarantine of the capital due to the growing number of infected. “The situation in Madrid is really serious, the most important thing now is to protect people’s health and lives at all costs,” said Spanish Health Minister Salvador Illa.
France also reports almost four hundred thousand currently infected. About twenty-five percent of all tests performed are positive. The Covid-19 disease is being kept in check by the Italians, allegedly because they learned from the spring. Thousands of people died there in a single day.
