Its author can begin the burial of the global climate fight with the story of how in Sweden they encroached on the sacred: Greta Thunberg was handcuffed and fined for going to a demonstration to save the planet without permission. They took a little, about 144 dollars in crowns, but who could have imagined this even a year ago? And the truth is that things change.
However, the author of the newspaper looks more broadly, at Europe as a whole. And he says: if this whole multi-year campaign called the “green agenda” fails there, then the campaign needs to be changed.
We exclude the rest of the world, where for some reason economic growth and any national interests are considered the main goal. But Europe, with its almost universal dominance of social democrats and other greens! Yet even in Germany, writes the Washington Post writer (himself a big advocate of climate change), even in this perfectly green country, there has been rebellion. And not only because of the EU directive to get rid of cars with a gasoline engine by 2035 (and this is a blow to Germany). The scandal arose when the local greens actually forbade the Germans to heat country houses with boilers. It’s already too much if you freeze in your home-fortress. And the Greens decided to postpone this grandiose initiative for the time being.
And in the Netherlands there was a revolt – there the agricultural sector rebelled, they want to deprive it of nitrogen fertilizers, even a new party was created on the wave of anger. Yes, if anyone doesn’t know: the green agenda suggests that all human activity is ruining the planet’s climate because it is heating it excessively. And nitrogen fertilizers are bad, and using oil and gas is bad. But here in Norway they decided to discover 19 new oil and gas deposits – the Russians are to blame, because of which the demand for this fuel has increased sharply, and why not make money from this whole story?
So even Europe revolted. Why? If you delve into this story, you will see that it has a very instructive component. After all, it is not surprising that normal people began to resist attempts to freeze them, deprive them of food and much more. What is surprising is how they were initially forced to submit to this ecological idea.
The answer is simple: science in the form of a stick. The fact is that the concept of human damage to the climate was one of the first two or three global brainwashing campaigns (all of which began in earnest in the 1990s) where the main idea is that “that’s what the science says.” True, for this in all cases it was necessary to create their own, false “science” and crush the real one, but if we are talking about big money and big plans, then nothing is impossible. Well, there is no brainwashing campaign in our century that has not acquired its own pseudoscientific basis.
And so, green science began to burst at the seams. One example: a book has just been published by Judith Curry, a famous American climatologist and author of 30 other works. And in it, Judith talks about how crazy this whole idea is that human activity is changing the climate, and if it is, then that activity should be stifled by the entire world.
The book is called “Earthquake” (in scientific circles) because Judith is one of the founders of computer modeling that predicts all kinds of global weather disasters. Initially, she did not accept objections. But in 2009, a little trouble happened to her: “Climategate” – a hacker who hacked the correspondence of other climatologists, who are giggling among themselves, what nonsense they are doing, but they are paid…
And today this woman is destroying the structure she once built – with knowledge of the matter and explaining in detail that climate phenomena are in the category of unpredictable and not amenable to modeling. The computer can only give a scenario and a few possible catastrophes, but in the last 4.6 million years our planet has shown all kinds of surprises: volcanic eruptions, the growth of mountain ranges, several cycles of destruction of the biological environment … And the idea that a person can to influence this has nothing to do with science.
At the same time, Judith reminds us once again about the technology of all these disgusting campaigns – the organizers will certainly transfer them to the global level, that is, to the UN, for example. Today, the UN structure called the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is a nest of vipers, where they adhere to bogus “climate science” and declare all dissenters enemies and charlatans.
We recently talked about how a similar campaign (also with its own “science”) failed in the US – about racism. And here again. What is the common? But our commentator from the “Washington Post” suggests: it was not necessary to “fight for the climate” like this. It was not necessary to scare people, it was not necessary to morally and then physically crush them. And now it is necessary to present the problem as something positive, requiring interesting technological solutions. Well, people don’t like to be afraid, you know? They are like that.
