Despite lagging progress, Montenegro is one of the most pro-EU countries in the region, with more than 81 percent of the population supporting membership.
As for the current leadership of the committee, Ursula von der Leyen was also mentioned in the interview. When asked whether he supports the second term of the incumbent president, Abazovics diplomatically answered the following:
We have a good cooperation with Mrs. von der Leyen, but I think that the European Commission will benefit from a little refreshment.
